JAMMU, July 4: Stressing on the need in releasing of pending DA/DR of 18 months from the month of January 2020 to ending June 2021, president of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subhash Shastri has sought the intervention of the Prime Minister and Union Finance Minister.
Addressing NMC workers meet here, Subhash Shastri said that since the price index and inflation are on rise, it has made salaried class and pensioners to face hardship to manage their lively-hood. Shastri pointed out that it is the fitness of things that financial assistance so accrued by way of rising Dearness Allowance (DA) is release without any further delay.
Shastri further hoped that the Central Government will consider the burning demand of both Central/States/UTs employees and pensioners in releasing the 3 DA installments blocked arrears in favor of these employees and pensioners at the earliest. He also appealed to the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary to enhance the Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month.
