Congress committed to restore dignity, honour of J&K residents: Bhalla


JAMMU: Former minister and working president of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee Raman Bhalla on Saturday said that people are anxiously waiting for the coming Assembly elections to teach BJP a lesson for its anti-people policies.
“The BJP and its proxy government in Jammu and Kashmir has been exposed as woes of the common masses have been compounding with every passing day and those at the helm of the affairs are least concerned about mitigating miseries of the common people”, Bhalla said while addressing a worker’s convention at Bhour Camp in RS Pura – Jammu South Assembly constituency organized by General Secretary of the Pradesh Congress Committee Amrit Bali.
“Apart from political uncertainty, Jammu and Kashmir is also suffering from crises of governance during the last ten years”, Bhalla said.
He reminded the people, that Congress, time and again, has proved how to provide good governance to the people by improving quality and capacity to deliver.
Exhorting the party cadre to accelerate preparations for the coming Assembly elections, Bhalla asserted that Congress is ready for polls at any time.
“We are fully prepared for the Assembly elections. With the support of the people, the Congress will expose BJP and its proxies in the coming days”, he said.
Seeking a decisive mandate to establish a new system of justice and equality in Jammu and Kashmir, Bhalla said that the Congress party is committed to providing humane, efficient, transparent, accountable, and corruption-free governance to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Attaining power is not the only aim of Congress. We, with the support of the people, want to restore dignity and honour of the people of Jammu and Kashmir”, he said and asserted that Congress would establish a system where every section of the society would get equal opportunities for development and upliftment.
“The Congress Party stands in solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir and reaffirms its commitment to fighting for their rights and well-being”, he said, adding, “We call upon all stakeholders to join hands in working towards a prosperous, secure, and democratic Jammu and Kashmir. The Congress Party will continue to advocate for policies that promote inclusive development, social justice, and a peaceful future for all residents of the region”.
