BUDGET FOSTERING ECONOMIC GROWTH

The Union Budget for the fiscal year 2024-25, presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, outlines key allocations and policies aimed at fostering economic growth, social development, and addressing various challenges faced by different sectors in India. A significant focus was placed on infrastructure development, with a massive allocation of Rs. 11.11 lakh crore. This includes investments in roads, highways, railways, and urban infrastructure projects across the country. The budget allocated Rs. 1.20 lakh crore to the education sector, marking it as the highest allocation in recent years. This includes provisions for improving school infrastructure, enhancing digital education capabilities, and promoting skill development among youth. The healthcare sector received substantial attention, with special emphasis on strengthening primary healthcare infrastructure, expanding vaccination coverage, and enhancing medical research facilities. The budget focused on agricultural reforms and rural development, including initiatives to support farmers through MSP (Minimum Support Price) mechanisms, investments in agri-infrastructure, and promoting agricultural exports.
