SAMBA, July 26: In a remarkable achievement, Bardan Sambyal from Thalora Mandi has been selected for the Jammu and Kashmir Under-15 football team. Bardan and his teammates have departed for Assam to participate in a prestigious national tournament. This selection is a historic moment for Thalora Mandi, as Bardan is the second youth from the district to reach this level.
Bardan’s journey began on a modest playground in Thalora Mandi, where he and his peers were trained by Aman Sambyal, who offers free coaching to local youth. Coach Aman has established Chandan Football Club, which now trains over 50 young players. This club has previously seen two of its players selected for the Sudeva Club in Delhi. Bardan’s dedication and hard work have now earned him a place in the J&K team. The selection has sparked enthusiasm among local players, motivating them to strive for national and international recognition.
