Cong manifesto will focus on common man’s issues: Ravinder

SAMBA, July 26: Co-Chairman JKPCC manifesto committee and chief spokesperson of the party, Ravinder Sharma has said that Congress Party’s `Peoples Manifesto’ will focus on problems faced by the common man in day today life and suggest reforms to make the life of poor man comfortable besides ensuring faster development and all round peace and progress.
Addressing the gathering of people, who had come to meet the manifesto committee at Samba, Vijaypur and Utterbehni today, Sharma said that Congress party is reaching out to people of different sections especially the common man to listen to their issues being faced by them in their day today life.
He said that it is the desire of Rahul Gandhi that the party leaders reach out to the last man on the streets and understand and highlight the problems faced by him/her for redressal.
He was accompanied by party vice presidents, Indu Pawar, Yash Pal Kundal; general secretaries, Shashi Sharma, Adv Suresh Dogra, Satish Sharma and Iqbal Dar. The District president, Samba Sanjeev Sharma arranged the intersection.
A number of people from different walks of life shared their woes and the problems faced by different sections of society especially youth, women, farmers, workers and SC, ST, OBCs, students, people of border areas.
Earlier, rich tribute were paid to heroes of Kargil War and a two-minute silence was observed as a mark of respect.
Later, a delegation of people led by Subash Bhagat, Vijay Tagotra, Rajan Sharma, K D Singh, Sushil Bhagat, Kapil Kumar met the Committee at Vijjaypur and put forth the demands of different sections.
The committee members also visited Utterbehni to interact with people. Led by Jagdip Singh, spokesperson JKPCC and others briefed the committee about the neglect of holy place of Utterbehni and Purmandal. They pleaded for proper development of the area, creation of library and sports facility in the area.
