JAMMU, July 26: Jammu University Convocation, which was scheduled to be held on August 3, has been postponed.
A notification in this regard was issued today by the Jammu University Registrar, according to which, fresh date for the convocation shall be notified in due course of time.
Consequent to the postponement, all rehearsals etc planned for the event have been deferred for the time being while the awardees have been advised to keep in touch with the university website for the latest update.
Even as the university has not assigned any reason for postponement of the convocation, sources told the Excelsior that coinciding of the scheduled All India Governor’s Conference on the same date (August 3) led to deferment of the event.
