SABLO asks SASB to issue NOC to Bhandaras retained last year

JAMMU, July 26: Shri Amarnath Barfani Langars Organisation (SABLO) has appealed the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) to release Bhandaras and issue No Objection Certificate (NOC) to those Bhandaras, which were retained last year after 30 days other than 64 Bhandaras which were released after completion of 30 days.
In a letter to Additional Chief Executive Officer, SASB it demanded that there should be no discrimination in issuance of NoC to Langar organisations.
The letter read “In continuation to our numerous letters dated 03/08/2023 (with numerous reminders), 02/06/2024, 15/07/2024 & 24/07/2024 with regard to your office Order No.SASB/2023/91, dated 31.07.2023 regarding sanction accorded to Langar Organizations and NGOs to wind up Langars, we have already raised our concerns due to such a discriminating manner in which the sanction was accorded to Langars Organisation perhaps at the behest of one person”.
The letter said SABLO has been regularly representing and raising its concerns on Office Order No.SASB/2023/91 Dated 31.07.2023. It further said as in SABLO letter addressed to ACEO dated 24.07.2024 about the decrease/fall in the number of pilgrims it was requested that around 60% of Bhandaras may be relieved after completion of 30 days i.e. on around 28.07.2024.
The SABLO said that Board must adopt transparent, logical, nonbiased, non-discriminating, harmonious criteria based policy on the principals of equality and natural justice.
It said “As the last year your office order No.SASB/2023/91 Dated 31.07.2023 caused a greater hardship, resentment and heart burning to the Bhandaras who were discriminated while relieving and issuance of NOC,. In the interest of “Equality and natural justice” SABLO, strongly demanded that
this year while relieving langars, the langars who willingly opted for complete Yatra duration and the langars other than the those retained last year should be retained at the first instance i.e. upon completion of 30 days.
Moreover in future an appropriate criteria/policy may be framed which should be based upon the principal of equality, natural justice on rotational basis and must be transparent and crystal clear to avoid inconvenience and also should not cause heart burning amongst the minds of detained Langars. Besides, the phased manner list of relieving of Langars must be published/intimated first before its finalization keeping transparency just to avoid any inconvenience and objections.
SABLO once again demanded that SASB must adopt transparent, logical, nonbiased, non-discriminating, harmonious criteria to avoid the chaos, heart burning, greater hardship and discrimination faced by Bhandaras.
