Theft case solved; 2 arrested, stolen property recovered

Samba: Police has solved a theft case registered at Police Station Samba, arrested two accused persons and recovered stolen property from their possession.
On August 27, 2024, a written report was lodged at Police Post Supwal falling under PS Samba by the Site Engineer MCC Infra Pvt. Ltd. regarding theft of shuttering plates from the construction site at NHW-44 Supwal.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR No. 219/2024 u/s 303(2) BNS got registered at Police Station Samba and investigation was started to work out the said theft case.
During the course of investigation, a team under SHO PS Samba led by IC PP Supwal was constituted. Police team rounded up several suspects and later on, two suspects were apprehended, who upon sustained questioning, confessed their involvement in the instant case. The accused persons have been identified as Rajinder Sharma S/o Mulkh Raj and Ravi Kumar S/o Thoru Ram both residence of village Nagrota tehsil Bari Brahmana district Samba. Further on their disclosure, stolen property i.e. shuttering plates valuing worth rupees 38000/- approximately were recovered from their illegal possession.
