CBSE Kho-Kho Cluster-XVIII Girls C’ship concludes

Jammu, Sept 22: Jammu Sanskriti School (JSS), here celebrated the culmination of the CBSE Kho-Kho Cluster XVIII Girls Championship, an event marked by athleticism, sportsmanship, and teamwork. The championship was graced by Dr Neha Sharma, Under Secretary in the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board, as the chief guest, and Indian para-athlete Chandeep Singh as the special invitee.
Dr Sharma highlighted the significance of sports in building discipline, resilience and life skills among students. “Sports events like this not only enhance physical fitness but also foster valuable life skills such as teamwork and perseverance,” she said, while applauding the school for the flawless execution of the event. Chandeep Singh shared his personal journey of overcoming adversity, motivating the young athletes by emphasizing, “Every setback is an opportunity for a comeback.”
In the Under-14 category, GNM Public School, Jalandhar, secured the first position, followed by Divine Will Public School, Batala, in second place. Delhi International School, Hoshiarpur and Stephens International School, Jammu, shared the third position. Mannat from GNM Public School, Jalandhar, was named the Best Defender, while Sukhpreet Kour from Divine Will Public School, Batala, was awarded Best Attacker.
In the Under-17 category, SGH Sur Singh, Taran Taran, clinched the first position, with Divine Will Public School, Batala, taking second place. DIPS, Pathankot, and GNM Public School, Jalandhar, jointly held third place. Jasmine Kour from SGH Sur Singh, Taran Taran, was recognized as Best Defender, and Sukhleen Kour from Divine Will Public School, Batala, was honoured as Best Attacker. In the Under-19 category, Shifaly International School, Ludhiana, emerged as the overall winner.
