JAMMU: “Believe in yourself, take the leap of faith and watch the universe conspire to make your dream a reality”. With such an impactful statement Shaurya Saini of Grade 6th Pearl drew the attention of the audience towards the topic of the utmost significance in today’s extremely competitive world, namely, Personality Development.

Principal JKPS Kunjwani Rajesh Rathore and students addressing morning assembly on Friday.

“Personality development is the process by which a person’s personality traits and behaviour patterns form and change over time. Personality development can help people develop positive qualities like punctuality, a flexible attitude, and a friendly nature. It plays a crucial role in one’s life”, pitched in another brilliant student Mohd. Usman.
Substantiating the theme of the Assembly for the day, a budding poet from the class, Raghav recited:
Personality can make or break
The day, as People are different.
One makes you happy,
And the other makes you Sad.
One makes you laugh,
The other makes you cry.
One makes you trust,
And the other makes you wary.
The personality is who we are
And people are often
Different than perceived.
Sometimes personality is judged
By a quick glance
But more often, it is judged by
The fair intelligence of observation,
The experience.
Summing up the assembly theme Devanshi stated, “A well-groomed personality communicates clearly and assertively, both verbally and through body language. Let’s listen to others carefully and express our thoughts confidently. Let’s develop the ability to influence others through logic, empathy, and persuasion, without being overbearing or aggressive.
Under the new format of “Extempore lecturette”, the first speaker from the audience was the school topper from Grade XI Ananya Dash opined, “Let’s embrace challenges and view failures as opportunities for growth. A well-groomed personality is open to learning, new experiences, and constant improvement. It’s always wise to broaden our knowledge through reading, engaging in discussions, and staying informed about the world. This enhancement of confidence helps us in forming informed opinions”.
Another randomly chosen speaker from the audience was Jenisha Kour of Grade XI A, who enthralled everyone with her reflections.
She stated, “A well-groomed personality often has a clear sense of purpose. Let’s stay rational while setting our goals realistically, staying disciplined in pursuing them, and showing adaptability whenever necessary. As we know, every long journey starts with a single step, so let’s take care of small habits very positively, such as time management, focus, and self-care, which always contribute to our personal strength”.
Principal JKPS Kunjwani Rajesh Rathore applauded the reflections of students from Grade VI & XI, who enthralled the audience with their substantial viewpoint.
“Cultivate the ability to bounce back from your failures and setbacks. A well-groomed personality handles stress equally well and remains composed under pressure. Let’s focus on maintaining a positive outlook even during challenging circumstances. A well-groomed personality often lifts others up, providing guidance, mentorship, and encouragement to those around them. It’s a lifelong journey that requires self-awareness, growth, discipline, and empathy”, he summed up.
