JAMMU, Oct 25: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Joginder Singh, today chaired a crime review meeting at Police Station RS Pura.
The meeting was attended by SP Headquarters Jammu, SDPO RS Pura, SHOs of RS Pura, Miran Sahib, Bishnah, Arnia, and other officers.
Singh congratulated the officers and personnel for ensuring a peaceful and incident-free conclusion of the recent Assembly elections.
In the meeting, the status of ongoing cases related to the NDPS Act, Excise, bovine smuggling, and crimes against women and children were closely examined.
Singh emphasized completing investigations promptly and fairly to deliver justice to victims.
Officers discussed methods to improve community policing, highlighting the critical role of public involvement in keeping the district safe.
Strategies to address drug abuse were also reviewed, focusing on prevention, rehabilitation, and enforcement to curb this menace.
SSP Singh urged Investigation Officers to prioritize quality in handling cases, encouraging them to use advanced investigative techniques and best practices to improve outcomes.
He also stressed regular beat patrolling and meticulous record-keeping in Beat Books. SHOs were instructed to keep a close watch on known offenders, ensuring their records are up-to-date.
The SSP directed officers to remain vigilant, reinforce checkpoints, and gather intelligence to counter potential threats from anti-national elements. He encouraged officers to take an active role in patrolling and securing vulnerable areas within the district.
Following the crime review meeting, SSP Singh held a ‘Darbar’ with Jawans, listening to their concerns and assuring swift action to address any issues.
He concluded with a “Bada Khana” meal for the officers and personnel, expressing gratitude for their dedication and urging them to uphold integrity and serve the public with commitment.
The meeting provided a platform for officers to discuss challenges, exchange insights, and formulate plans to address both existing and emerging security issues in Jammu.
