MUMBAI, Oct 31 : Taking time off from his hectic schedule, Spanish President Pedro Sanchez paid a visit to the country’s leading film production house Yash Raj Films.
Sanchez, on his first official trip to India, interacted with the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Akshay Vidhani on the production house’s 50-year legacy and the future of the Indian movie industry on Tuesday.
This is the first time a Spanish Prime Minister or President has visited India in 18 years.
Many beautiful locations of Spain have been featured in Indian films through the years. Yash Raj Films productions like ‘Pathaan’ and ‘War 2’ also had extensive scenes picturised in the idyllic locations of the European nation.
Vidhani stated it was an honour to host the Spanish president. “His visit is a milestone in our 50-year journey.” He said his discussion with the Spanish president dwelt on strengthening cultural ties between Spain and Yash Raj Films. (UNI)
