That Green tree in the courtyard
Slowly and slowly losing it’s glory
The father..!!!
Who was as strong as a rock,
Slowly and slowly, is losing his memory.
Lay lakhs of layers of whitewash on the walls.
But due to the dampness of time
The color of the house..
is starting to fade.
Growing age cannot be hidden with smile
The shortness of breath
Has started to evade.
The Drawing room of the house…
Used to be bustling till late at night.
The news of the world,
The stories of might.
Now there is a long silence in the empty room..
Away from the sofas,
Now time is passing on the bed.
The shortcomings of body
has begun to shed.
Four rotis in the plate.
And a bowl of rice.

In shadows deep
In shadows deep, I find my place,
A hollow echo, empty space.
The world moves on, a breath, a sigh,
Yet here I linger, wondering why.
The dawn that breaks holds no delight,
Its colors pale, devoid of light.
The songs once sweet now barely play,
They fade to silence, slip away.
The paths I walked have overgrown,
With thorns and weeds I’ve never known.
Each step a weight, each breath a fight,
The day drags on, as does the night.
Dreams I held drift like sand,
Lost to the tides, pulled from my hand.
No stars above, no light to give,
Just empty skies where shadows live.
But maybe here, in dark’s embrace,
I’ll come to know a gentler grace.
A whispered truth, a subtle tone,
Perhaps in stillness, I’m not alone.

I YEARN FOR…
The first sight of the daughter
Make me fall for her
Fragrance of my grandpa’s sweat in his fields
The free flights of bluebottles
The sauntering of flemingoes
The sparkle of snow clad mountains
The manoeuvering on the mountains by an ibex
The leap of a gazelle
A shower of moonlight
