South Zone Jammu Police organises Thana Diwas in Police Station Gangyal

JAMMU: Jammu Police, in a proactive step towards community engagement and crime prevention, organised a Thana Diwas in Police Station Gangyal today. The Thana Diwas saw the participation of members of civil society, sarpanch and councillors of the area. The function was presided over by SP South Jammu, along with SDPO South, SHO Gangyal and ICPP Greater Kailash.

The primary focus of the event was to sensitize the local populace about the growing concerns of drug abuse, cybercrime, and social crimes.

There was also threadbare discussion on how to improve public participation in reducing normal violations of law and heinous offences. The participants also lauded the efforts of Gangyal Police Station in tracing out thefts, and apprehending criminals.
