JAMMU, Nov 9: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) in Jammu district claimed today they have traced out two missing boys from Rajasthan within 48 hours of the reporting of the crimes.
A police official said that on November 6, 2024, a missing report was lodged at Police Post Talab Tillo, Jammu on the complaint of one Sunil Kumar of Suraj Nagar, Talab Tillo, who claimed that his son (name withheld), a 9th standard student, disappeared from Talab Tillo area.
Acting on his written complaint, the police official said that a case FIR number 170/2024 under section 137(2) BNSS was registered at Police Station Nawabad and investigation started.
In a related incident, he said, one Ramesh Kumar from Kishtwar, currently putting up at Toph Sherkhania, Jammu, reported his minor son (name withheld) missing from Toph Sherkhania, Jammu.
On this, a case FIR number 152/2024 under section 137(2) BNSS was registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar and investigation started, he said.
During investigation of the twin cases, the police official said that the J&K Police conducted searches at multiple places within and outside the UT and after meticulous examination of the evidence, traced out both the missing boys from Surajgarh, Rajasthan.
The entire search operation and investigation was done by police teams led by Incharge Police Post Talab Tillo PSI Sonu Choudhary and Incharge Police Post Sarwal PSI Maan Singh under the professional guidance of SHO Nawabad Inspector Deepak Pathania and SHO Bakshi Nagar Inspector Sajid Mughal under the overall supervision of territorial officers and SSP Jammu.
