CBC inaugurates five-day Multi Media Photo Exhibition

JAMMU: Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Field Offices Jammu, Kathua and Samba organized a five-day multimedia exhibition as part of its Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme at Jhiri Mela, Marh.

DDC Chairman Jammu, Bharat Bhushan inaugurating CBC’s five-day multimedia exhibition at Jhiri Mela in Jammu.

The event aimed to engage the public with critical themes including revamped criminal laws, nutrition, and environmental protection and water preservation through visual storytelling and interactive sessions.
The event attracted dignitaries, government officials, and local participants who experienced first-hand the informative displays on the themed subjects.
Districts Development Council Chairman Jammu, Bharat Bhushan who was the Chief Guest inaugurated the five-day exhibition in presence of Ghulam Abbas (IIS) Director C.B.C J&K and Ladakh and Ram Krishan Rathore Tehsildar Marh, Dr Nazam Khan Mela officer, Sarsa Ram Principal Hr Sec School Marh and Ram Ditta Sharma Mela Secretary.
In his address, Bharat Bhushan urged participants to take full advantage of the exhibition’s insights into the recently restructured criminal laws, including the Bhartiya Nayaya Sahita, 2023, Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, and Bhartiya Sakhya Adhinayam, 2023.
The exhibition highlights Jal Jeevan Mission, Poshan Abhiyan and Mission LiFE, which are vital in today’s times. Poshan Abhiyan focuses on the holistic growth of children, pregnant, and lactating mothers, while Mission LiFE underscores environmental sustainability.
Ghulam Abbas emphasized how collaborative efforts can help society tackle nutritional and environmental challenges while staying informed about evolving laws and procedures. He encouraged students to become ambassadors of these themes, urging them to share what they learned with family, friends, and community members. He underscored the relevance of the exhibition’s subjects in today’s world.
Kartar Singh Additional Secretary Rural Development J&K thanked CBC J&K for selecting exhibition themes that address pressing, contemporary challenges.
He urged the general public and especially the devotees of mela to attend the event in large numbers.
Vikram Katryal Agriculture Extension Officer Zone Marh highlighted various schemes related to agriculture and showcased various success stories from Marh Zone.
Er Shubam Gupta Assistant Engineer Jal Shakti Department spoke about Jan Jeevan Mission and its implementation by the department.
The event also included a debate, open quiz and painting competition, where students from various schools shared their perspectives on the themed subjects, illustrating the importance of each and exploring ways to leverage their benefits.
