Jammu District Judo C’ship concludes

JAMMU, Nov 19: The two day long Jammu District Judo Championship concluded here today. About 200 Judokas participated in the championship.
Yudhvir Sethi, MLA was chief guest on this occasion while others present were Vikas Gupta, Sr. Vice president JAJ&K, Suraj Sharma, general secretary, Suraj Bhan Singh, Manager Indoor Complex MA Stadium Jammu, Ritika Slathia (Sr. Judo Coach), Jugal Kishore, Sr Judo Coach, Rakesh Sharma and Manish Chatwal, organising secretary.
The Championship was organized by Judo Association J&K under the banner of JK Sports Council & J&K Olympic Association.
The winners included, in Girls Junior category, for 40 kg, Taniya Thapa, Anju Rajak, Alisha Gill and Shreya; in 44 kg, Manvi Verma, Sumaka, Lakshita and Anjali; in 48 kg, Niharika Sharma and Shuruti; in 52 kg, Palak Sharma, Kashvi Chopra, Shanvi and Eliza; in 57 kg, Anu Sharma; in 63 kg, Khushi Sharma, for senior girls in 63 kg, Shaista Shafi; in 70 kg, Anshika Sharma, Harshita Gupta and Tavishi.
For boys, Junior, 50 kg best performers were Suraj Kewal, Mayank Sharma, Aryam and Aditya, in 55 kg, Sumit Lal, Manik Thapa, Parkash, Vvisman; in 60 kgm, Esan Saini, Daksh Chib, Virpartap, Rudarpratap; in 6 kg, Ridhim, Atul, Idham Gupta and Gurpreet; in 73 kg, Aihant Mahajan, Balbir, Ayush and Abam; in 81 kg, Dakshash, Mohd Tohid, Gourav and Mohammad Kaif; in 90 kg, Rudhara Manhas; in 100 kg, Rajan Bhardwaj and Jaideep Manhas; in Sub Junior Open, winners were Mahir Singh Dutta and Rayarth Singh; for senior boys, in 60 kg category winners were, Mohit Kumar, in 81 kg Varun Sharma, Shashan K Barur; in 90 kg, Lakhan Baru and Diwakar Singh; in 100 kg, winners were Vishal Kumar; in + 100 kg winners were Ujjwal Khajuria; in Blind Judokas, Gold was won by Rohit Singh, Lal Singh, Ubaid, Anshu and Satish; Silver by Sobit, Banti Ram, Shahid Ali and Nikesh Imran while Bronze was won by Rajan Sharma, Som Raj and Abrar.
