J&K Police Arrest Three Drug Peddlers With Contraband In Baramulla

SRINAGAR, Nov 20: Police have arrested three drug peddlers and recovered contraband substances from their possession in Baramulla district.
Police on Wednesday said that a Police party of Uri Police Station headed at a checkpoint established at Gingal Bridge, intercepted one person who was identified as Syed Hassan Shah resident of Gingal.
During his search 6.5 Kgs of contraband Cannabis powder-like substances was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to the Police Station.
Similarly, a Police party at a checkpoint established at Janbazpora Baramulla, intercepted one person who was identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Ganie a resident of Binner.
During the search, 100 grams of contraband Charas-like substances was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to the Police Station.
Police also arrested a person at a checkpoint established at Forest Check Post Gantamulla Baramulla, along with 30 grams of contraband Charas-like substances.
The accused was identified as Mohammad Amin Sheikh a resident of Kitchama who has been shifted to the Police Station.
Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of the law have been registered at Police Station Uri, Baramulla, and Sheeri and an investigation has been initiated. (Agencies)
