JAMMU, Nov 21: A 31-year-old woman was found hanging at her rented accommodation at Peer Mittha area here today.
Varsha Jamwal wife of CRPF jawan Dalbir Singh of Nagbani, Smailpur, who is presently posted and putting up at Peer Mittha Jammu, was found hanging at her current place of accommodation around 4 pm today, said a police official.
She was immediately taken to Government Medical College Jammu where doctors declared her as dead on arrival, he said.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the legal formalities while as police have initiated inquest proceedings to ascertain the cause of the death of the woman.
