JAMMU, Dec 4: Jammu and Kashmir Police today seized around 3 quintals of “sub-standard” paneer and 20 kilograms of butter from BC Road area here.
A police official said that a team of Bus Stand Police Station led by SHO concerned, Inspector Vikas Dogra, under the overall supervision of SSP Jammu, Joginder Singh, raided a suspected location at BC Road Jammu and seized the consignment.
It was later handed over to a team of Department of Food Safety (DFCO), Jammu, he said.
Notably, on December 2 as well, around 3.5 quintals of sub-standard paneer was seized by a team of Police Station Bus Stand from KC Chowk area.
Both the samples have been sent to the lab examination for their further testing, added the police official.
