UDHAMPUR, Dec 7: KLSM Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital Udhampur, in collaboration with Rotary Club Udhampur and Inner Wheel Club Udhampur, organized a free eye & general screening camp at Higher Secondary School Barolla, Udhampur, here today.
The main objective of the camp was to provide ‘gift of sight’ to the school children by the Doctors and staff of KLSM Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital Udhampur.
In this screening camp, 280 school children suffering from different eye ailments were examined by the medical team of the hospital and 56 of them were identified for refractive error which will be given different dates in hospital for detailed check-up.
Patients were examined by Dr Sharika Ganjoo (Paediatric Ophthalmology), Dr Susheel Kudial (General Physician), Anjani Kumar (Sr Optometrist) & Mukesh Yadav (Optometrist). Children who had low vision will be given spectacles by Inner Wheel Club & Rotary Club Udhampur jointly.
Pratibha Gupta, Principal Higher Secondary School Barolla gave full support to organize the said camp. President Rotary Club Udhampur, Puran Lal Sharma, Secretary RC Udhampur Satish Gandotra, Rajendra Sanson, Suresh Gupta, Inner Wheel President Manju Baru and her team members actively participated in the camp.
