KHOON, Dec 15: Under the leadership of Pawan Khajuria, a workers meeting of Udhampur East Assembly constituency was held at Dayot in Khoon Block, here today.
A large number of local residents of Khoon and Majalta blocks, including women, elderly and youth, participated in the meeting.
While addressing the gathering, Pawan Khajuria – who had contested as Independent candidate in the recently held Assembly elections, reiterated his commitment to work for the people round the clock.
“Despite getting very little time, you all worked hard day and night during the elections with the result we got around 31 thousand votes,” he said and expressed his gratitude to the people for their tremendous support.
On the occasion, Pawan Khajuria announced that similar meetings would continue to be held for taking feedback of the common people and listening to their grievances for redressal of the same by taking them before the concerned authorities. Apologizing for not being able to connect to the workers earlier due to his poor health, Khajuria assured that he is fit now and ever available for anyone for service to them.
He assured that if any person has any work, whether it is from the district administration
“If you have any grievance, whether it is concerning the district administration, Government or any other agency, please feel free to contact me anytime and I will always be at youth service,” he said.
DDC Jaganu, Parikshit Singh; DDC Majalta, Advocate Amit Sharma and Sarpanch Panada, Rajesh Sharma also addressed the gathering.
Rakesh Sharma, Bishan Das, Captain Gopal Singh, Kameshwar, Ex Sarpanch Bittu Raina, Panch Shaukat Ali Khatana, Balwan Chand, Sarpanch Balwant Raj, Deputy Sarpanch Kewal Kumar, Sarpanch Baburam, Makhanlal, Sarpanch Hansraj, Muzammil, Krishnalal and Feroz Deen were among the prominent persons who attended the meeting.
