Max Hospital launches multi-specialty OPD services in Srinagar

Srinagar, Dec 18: Max Super Specialty Hospital Shalimar Bagh today announced the launch of its multi-specialty OPD services in partnership with City Care Chemists and Druggists in Srinagar.
The facility will provide expert advice on health-related issues including cancer and heart ailments.
The OPD services were launched in the presence of Dr. Surender Kumar Dabas, Vice Chairman & HOD of Surgical Oncology and Robotic Surgery, Dr. Alka Dahiya, Consultant-Surgical Oncology and Robotic Surgery, and Dr. Dinesh Chandra, Associate Director-Cardiac Surgery (CTVS) from Max Super Specialty Hospital Shalimar Bagh, as well as Dr. Abdul Rouf Malik, Consultant Orthopaedics & Co-Founder of City Care Chemists & Druggists.
The team will be available at City Care Chemists & Druggists, Near Sarovar Portico Hotel, Peer Bagh, Srinagar, every third Wednesday from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Dr. Surender Kumar Dabas emphasized that advancements in oncology treatments have improved cancer outcomes when detected early.
“Robotic surgery is a valuable addition to surgical techniques for minimally invasive procedures,” he said.
Dr. Alka Dahiya highlighted the rising cases of cancers affecting women’s reproductive systems, including cervical, ovarian, uterine, and vaginal cancers.
“Breast cancer remains a leading diagnosis, with 1 in 8 women at risk. Early detection is key to successful treatment,” she noted.
Dr. Dinesh Chandra stated that cardiac surgery has significantly advanced, with minimally invasive procedures offering quicker recovery times and less postoperative pain.
