KP bodies hold one day convention at Jagti

JAMMU, Dec 21: Various KP organisations participated in one day’s convention organised by AIMCCC at Jagti township which included ASKPC, PNBMT, ADKUF, Panun Kashmir and Vivekananda Kendra Nagdandi.
The agenda of the convention was ” Role of KP organisations in mitigating the problems of displaced people since the day of exodus.
The programme started with welcome address by chairman of AIMCCC, B K Raina who said that time has come when entire community should work jointly.
He said KPs being stake holders of Kashmir, deserve all benefits from all Government schemes.
AIMCCC chief, Desh Ratten Pandita said that Rohingya people residing in our country illegally since decades, have been getting each and every benefit so far and this community has been kept away from every right. “We KPs have to beg for our genuine demands from one corner to another before Government offices/ higher authorities right from our migration, in the year 1989-90. Time has come to fight jointly for the cause of community and poor people. Nobody in Government is ready to listen us and so it is our moral duty to raise our demands in every corner with one voice. No scheme is being implemented for KPs. KPs demand permanent rehabilitation on our own conditions, for a respectable life with dignity and honour”. “We demand complete political empowerment”, he added.
Vice president AIMCCC P N Jalali said political parties are ignoring migrants and have never supported this community. While speaking ASKPC president, Moti Lal Malla said that ASKPC is basic organization of KPs/ and it is duty of everybody to make this organization strong and powerful. Entire community has to fight together for community cause. He further said that KP community is the only community in the country which has not any representation in JKUT Assembly or in Parliament. He stressed upon Government to restore immovable property from encroachers in Valley.
PNBMT chairman, Roshan Lal Pandita said that Trust is committed to get Temple Bill passed at any cost and requested everyone to support, to make it a success.
Brij Nath Bhat Chairman Nagdandi said urged Government to resolve the migrants problems. During the debate, Mahila Wing of AIMCCC, Meela Misri, Priya Dhar and Anjali Kar /Tikoo, also spoke in the convention.
