SRINAGAR, Dec 22: Security forces apprehended three suspect individuals in separate operations and recovered arms and ammunition from them in the Kashmir Valley, officials said.
The army said on December 21, based on specific intelligence input, a Joint Mobile Vehicle Check Post (MVCP) was established by the army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at Chanpura in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
One suspected individual has been apprehended along with the recovery of one pistol, one hand grenade, and other warlike stores.
In another similar operation at Yarbug in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district conducted on Saturday, the army aided in the apprehension of two more suspected individuals along with one pistol, two hand grenades, and other warlike stores.
Further investigation by police is in progress, they said.
