Hyderabad, Jan 10: The Telangana Government has reshuffled three senior IAS officers, assigning them to pivotal administrative roles.
Among the notable appointments, Dr Yogita Rana, a 2003 batch IAS officer of erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir cadre, has been named Secretary to the Government in the Education Department.

She takes over the position previously held as an additional charge by IAS N. Sridhar of the 1997 batch.
Known for her extensive experience, Dr Rana has previously contributed to UNDP’s Umeed and Himayat projects in J&K.
IAS N Sridhar, currently Principal Secretary to the Government in the Scheduled Castes Development Department, has been assigned the Full Additional Charge (FAC) of Secretary to the Government (Mines and Geology), Industries and Commerce Department. This role became vacant after the transfer of IAS K. Surendra Mohan. Sridhar’s leadership is anticipated to enhance the functioning of the Mines and Geology department.
Meanwhile, IAS K. Surendra Mohan, a 2006 batch officer, has been transferred as Commissioner of the Transport Department. This shift comes with expectations for improved service delivery and innovation in the state’s transport sector under his leadership.
These transfers underline the Telangana government’s strategic approach to placing experienced officers in key roles to ensure efficient governance and foster development across departments.
