J&K Bank XI defeats Young Hero FC by 5-0 in 1st SF

Jammu, Jan 13: In a commanding display of football, J&K Bank XI defeated Young Hero FC by 5-0 in the first semi-final of the 18th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament at the Mini Stadium Parade Ground, here, today.
J&K Bank XI took control early, with Gautam Mehra scoring in the 45th minute, followed by Adnan Ayoub’s strike in the 48th minute, giving the team a 2-0 advantage at halftime. The second half saw an even more dominant performance from J&K Bank XI, as Akif Reshi netted two goals in quick succession, at the 50th and 56th minutes, while Furqaan added another goal in the 54th minute to complete the 5-0 rout.
The match was graced by Raju Baba, the chief guest, and Vishal Kohli, vice president of the Fruit & Vegetable Association, Narwal, who served as the guest of honour. Dignitaries such as Anil Masoom (Ex-Corporator BJP), Ramesh Chander (International Player), David Masih (Football Coach), and Yousaf Don (Org. Secretary) were also present.
The match was officiated by referees Vijay Kumar, Bilal Ahmed, Aman Sudan and Rocky. With this victory, J&K Bank XI advances to the final.
