SAMBA, Jan 20: AIIMS Jammu and 4baseCare have joined hands to fight cancer and make precision medicine accessible to all.
The partnership will make sure that the latest advancements in cancer and other genomic related treatments are not just reserved for the few but available to everyone regardless of where they live or how much they earn.
In this partnership, AIIMS Jammu and 4baseCare will use state-of-the-art genomic technologies to provide cancer patients with personalized treatment options, helping them access the therapies most likely to work for them.
By making these sophisticated tools part of routine care, they aim to ensure that every patient’s story is heard, and that each person’s treatment is as unique as their cancer.
There is, at present, no facility in J&K and adjacent areas providing such services.
This facility will be not only a referral Centre for Northern India but to whole of India and adjacent countries.
On this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Shakti Kumar Gupta, Executive Director & CEO, AIIMS-Jammu, said: “For every patient we treat, we are treating a mother, a father, a sister or a brother. This partnership is our promise to every family who walks through our doors that we will do everything in our power to bring them the care they deserve.”
Hitesh Goswami, CEO of 4baseCare, stated: “Cancer changes lives, but so can we. By working together, AIIMS Jammu and 4baseCare are committed to making sure that no patient is left behind. We are fighting for a future where every person has access to the best care, the best treatments and most importantly, the best chance at survival.”
A handout stated that AIIMS Jammu and 4baseCare are laying the foundation for clinics and centers of excellence in precision oncology, bringing personalized care closer to home for patients in Jammu and beyond. They are ensuring that the promise of precision medicine becomes a reality for every patient, everywhere.
