PRAYAGRAJ, Jan 21: Renowned industrialist and Chairman of the Adani Group, Gautam Adani said on Tuesday that he is overwhelmed by the grandeur of the Maha Kumbh and has come here to seek blessings of Maa Ganga.
Adani reached Prayagraj with his family in the afternoon took a bath and offered prayers at Triveni. He was accompanied by his wife Chairperson Adani Foundation Dr Preeti Adani, his son Karan Adani, daughter-in-law Paridhi Adani, and his granddaughters. Jeet Adani was also present with him at the Kumbh.
On this occasion, the Chairman of Adani Group said that his younger son Jeet’s wedding is on February 7 and the family has come here to seek blessings from Maa Ganga. He said that the wedding will be conducted with simplicity along with the family.
Overwhelmed by the grandeur of the Maha Kumbh, he said that corporate houses also need to learn from the management of such a huge event. Everyone including security personnel, and sanitation workers have made an important contribution to the Maha Kumbh, he said.
Adani expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on behalf of the entire countrymen for the grand organization of the Maha Kumbh.
While praising the development work in Uttar Pradesh, he said that there are abundant possibilities of development in a state with a population of 25-26 crores and the Adani Group always stands with UP in this task of development.
Adani reached ISKCON at around 12:30 in the morning where he also participated in making prasad in the kitchen. Dr Preeti Adani, along with her daughter-in-law Paridhi Adani, applied ghee on rotis and peeled peas.
After that, the Chairman of Adani Group reached Sangam by boat where he took a bath and worshipped. He looked overwhelmed after visiting Sangam.
Talking to the journalists, he said, “After coming to Prayagraj, I felt as if the faith, service spirit, and cultures of the whole world have come and merged in the lap of Maa Ganga here. I heartily thank the government, administration, sanitation workers, and security forces who are ready to serve all the sadhus, saints, Kalpvasis, and devotees who keep the grandeur and divinity of Kumbh alive. May the blessings of Maa Ganga remain on all of us.”
Adani then went to the pandal of Gita Press where he distributed the Aarti collection. It may be noted that he has pledged to distribute one crore Aarti collections in collaboration with Geeta Press and to feed one lakh people every day in collaboration with ISKCON.
He returned to Ahmedabad after visiting the Sri Shankaracharya Temple ‘Viman Mandap’.
