JAMMU, Jan 24: A delegation of NC Minority Cell, led by B.L Bhat, ex-MLC and comprising of Jatin Bhat and J.S Azad, convenor of the Cell met Advisor to the Chief Minister.
The delegation presented a memorandum containing the demands of Kashmiri migrants.
The demands included enhancement of cash assistance for relief card holders, passing of the long-pending Temples and Shrines Bill, comprehensive employment packages tailored for Kashmiri migrant youth and establishment of an Apex Advisory Committee for migrants to serve as vital liaison between Kashmiri Pandit community and the government.
The delegation further demanded the allotment of shops at Jagti Camp to facilitate economic self-reliance among displaced individuals and their families. They also demanded renovation of Transit Accommodations in Jammu.
The Advisor assured the delegation of a prompt and favourable resolution.
Prominent members of the delegation included Rajinder Dhar, Surinder Bhan, Vijay Kumar, B.L Raina, R.L Bhat, Harmohinder Singh, Bansi Lal and Viraj Manhoori.
