January 26th, a day of pride,
Republic Day, India’s spirit inside.
A nation’s promise, to stand as one,
To uphold the constitution, forever won.
The tricolor waves high, a symbol of might,
The national anthem echoes, through morning light.
The parade begins, with marching feet,
A showcase of strength, in unity’s beat.
From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, and from east to west,
India’s diversity, in harmony finds rest.
The dreams of our founders, a vision to share,
A sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic India to spare.
We remember the struggles, the sacrifices made,
The freedom fighters’ courage, that our nation has displayed.
We honor the brave hearts, who guard our borders wide,
Their valor and loyality, our Republic’s pride.
As we celebrate, this day of our Republic’s birth,
Let’s pledge to uphold, the values of our nation’s mirth.
Let’s strive for a better tomorrow, where all can thrive,
Happy Republic Day, to our great nation, alive!

A WANDERING ORPHAN
They called him, the lonely orphan
Always miserable, no fun
He had no friends, no one to talk to
But at days end, it was him without rue
Walked the roads barefooted, in the dark
Gazing at the moon, counting the stars
They thought he was sad,
Because he had no one, to call mum and dad
But instead of being sadistic,
He found life to be fantastic.
