JAMMU, Feb 3: Students’ Experience in Inter-State Living (SEIL) tour from February 3 to 6, 2025, organized by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) , reached here today.
The tour is a flagship initiative by ABVP that aims to foster cultural exchange and national integration by bringing students from the northeastern states to other parts of India.
During their stay in Jammu, the delegates will experience various interactive sessions, cultural programs and educational visits to understand the rich heritage and traditions of the region. The arrangements have been made for the SEIL delegates to stay with the local families so that they do not miss their families, contributing the sense of belongingness among all.
Today, ABVP expressed its warm welcome to all the SEIL delegates at the Jammu Railway Station as they plan to visit IIT Jammu followed by their visit to Jagti. Tomorrow delegates will visit Jammu’s tourist point Patnitop and Suchetgarh Border. SEIL delegates will also visit Agricultural University, Jammu University, Raghunath Temple and the adjacent Raghunath Market.
The grand public reception program will be held on February 6, 2024, wherein Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will remain present as the chief guest. During the program, ABVP will facilitate host families who have generously opened their homes to the visiting students.
Sharing the information, ABVP Central Working Committee member Akshi Billowria said that such exchanges are vital in promoting harmony, mutual respect, and a deeper understanding of our shared identity as Indians. “We look forward to engaging interactions, insightful discussions, and meaningful experiences during this visit,” she added.
SEIL Coordinator Laishram Rajesh Singh and Co-Coordinator Bobita Narzary exclaimed: “The warm welcome and excellent arrangements by ABVP Jammu have made us feel at home, and we are excited to explore the region’s heritage, cuisine, and vibrant local life. We hope this visit strengthens our commitment to national integration and cultural exchange, and we look forward to an enriching and memorable experience.”
SEIL Coordinator from Jammu Akarshit Sharma said that they would try their best to make the delegates feel at home in Jammu and Kashmir.
