JAMMU, Feb 4: Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu, hosted the District-Level Bocce Ball Championship, organized by the Raffa Boules India Federation. The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 150 schools, including several prominent institutions.
Haseeb Ur Rehman, DIG Railways, J&K was the chief guest on the occasion along with special guests Pooja Malhotra, Aastha Nanda, Sandhya Dhar, Munish Gupta and Ashwani Jojra. The event was coordinated by Sunny Nanda, General Secretary of Raffa Boules India Federation.
The Championship began with an inspiring welcome address by Prabhjot Kour Bhalla, Headmistress of Jammu Sanskriti School, followed by the ceremonial torch-lighting and release of vibrant balloons, symbolizing the spirit of the event.
The event culminated in a medal ceremony, with Gold and Silver medals presented by the chief guest and other dignitaries. Haseeb Ur Rehman praised the participants for their dedication and perseverance, encouraging them to continue pursuing excellence in both sports and life.
The winners of the championship included Parvinder Kour (Gold, Under-8 Years Girls), Samiksha (Gold, Under-10 Years Girls), Aapurvi (Gold, Under-12 Years Girls), Aruhi Guleria (Gold, Under-14 Years Girls), Ridhima (Gold, Under-16 Years Girls), Mrigul Modil (Gold, Under-8 Years Boys), Kuvam (Gold, Under-10 Years Boys Group A), Devinder Singh (Gold, Under-10 Years Boys Group B), Aadi (Gold, Under-10 Years Boys Group C), Danish Kumar (Gold, Under-12 Years Boys Group A), Ranveer Verma (Gold, Under-12 Years Boys Group B), Satvinder (Gold, Under-12 Years Boys Group C), Rudhra (Gold, Under-14 Years Boys Group A), Agamveer (Gold, Under-14 Years Boys Group B), Sarbjeet (Gold, Special Child Boys) and Taalya (Gold, Special Child Girls).
