3 from Delhi, MP held for theft at Trikuta Nagar

JAMMU, Feb 5: Three individuals from Delhi and Madhya Pradesh were arrested today for a theft in Trikuta Nagar area here.
A police official said that on December 16, 2024, a complaint was received from one Ruby Trikha wife of Lt. Major Sandeep Trikha of House number 129, Sector-1, Trikuta Nagar Jammu, regarding theft of some electronics and other household items from her place.
On this, a case FIR number 344/2024 was registered at Police Station Trikuta Nagar and investigation started, he said.
During the course of investigation, the police official said that three suspects identified as Azad of Narola, Delhi at present Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, Suresh Anuragi, and Dashrat Ahirwar, both residents of Chatterpur, Madhya Pradesh, were detained for questioning.
During sustained questioning, the trio confessed to their involvement in the crime and on their disclosure, the stolen items including three gas cylinders, 1 refrigerator, one LCD, one inverter, one inverter battery and other household items were recovered from their possession, he said. Arrests were made by a police team headed by SHO Trikuta Nagar Rajesh Jasrotia.
Further investigation is underway, he added.
