KISHTWAR, Feb 5: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan, conducted a comprehensive review of the Rural Development Department (RDD), focusing on the implementation of MGNREGA and PMAY schemes.
On the occasion,ACD Kishtwar provides detailed insights into the status of works under MGNREGA and PMAY.
During the meeting, DC Kishtwar issued key directives to ensure efficient execution, transparency, and timely benefits for the public.
He directed that all job card holders be mapped with the E-Shram portal and that passive job cards be weeded out.
The DC instructed all concerned BDOs to publish notices in all Panchayats, urging eligible individuals to avail themselves of employment under MGNREGA.
He issued strict instructions to ensure no delays in wage payments.
He also stressed that left-out beneficiaries must be linked with Aadhaar on priority.
Under PMAY implementation, the DC directed that PMAY defaulters be identified and that lists be shared with Tehsildars for further action.
He also directed that all PMAY houses sanctioned to date must be completed by March 31, 2025.
The DC laid special emphasis on ensuring that the ongoing AwasPlus survey is accurate, updated, and fast-tracked, ensuring no ineligible beneficiary is included.
He also directed a focus on water conservation, soil conservation, and beneficiary-oriented projects under MGNREGA. Additionally, women’s empowerment should be a key aspect while framing development plans.
The DC emphasized ensuring quality in works, timely completion of PMAY houses, and proper utilization of funds.
The meeting was attended by ACD Kishtwar Phulail Singh (JKAS), Tehsildars, AD Planning, all BDOs, Panchayat Secretaries, Technical Assistants, MIS Operators, GRSs,Incharge Executive Engineer (REW Kishtwar) besides other staff of RDD.
