Assistant Professor in Dogri Dr. Sunil Dutt Sharma has been elected as the Staff Secretary for the academic year 2024-25 following an unopposed election under the supervision of our worthy Principal Dr. Shamim Ahmed Azad. The election process was conducted during a meeting where name of Dr. Sunil Dutt Sharma was proposed by Dr. Mohd. Saleem, HOD Chemistry and it was seconded by Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, HOD Physics and Prof. Mukesh Sharma, HOD Political Science. All the staff members present in the meeting unanimously accepted the proposal and the name of staff secretary was announced by Dr. Ruhi Gupta, HOD Sociology. The overwhelming support for Dr. Sunil Dutt Sharma reflects confidence in his leadership and commitment to serving the college community.
With a strong academic background and prior experience in leadership roles (former State President of Jammu State’s Student Morcha) he is well-equipped to fulfill the responsibilities of the Staff Secretary. This role involves facilitating communication between students, faculty, and administration, overseeing staff-related initiatives, and contributing to the overall growth of the institution.
Upon confirmation of the election results, Dr. Sunil Dutt Sharma expressed gratitude and enthusiasm, stating: “I am honored to be elected as the Staff Secretary of GDC Nowshera. I look forward to work closely with faculty and students to enhance collaboration, streamline communication, and support initiatives that benefit our academic community.” The administration and student body extend their best wishes to Dr. Sunil Dutt Sharma as he takes on this important leadership role. The new staff secretary was greeted and felicitated with a bouquet of flowers by the Principal of the college.
