This was informed by YRS Chairman Raghuvir Singh, while addressing a press conference at the Press Club Jammu, along with Rajan Singh Happy, former president, Core committee members and others.
“J&K is becoming a hub of crime since it was demoted into a Union Territory. The crime rate along with drug trafficking and other anti national activities are rising day by day and the administration has completely failed to maintain law and order in Jammu province,” he said.
Raghuvir Singh claimed that only way to get all these criminal and anti national activities controlled is to unite and raise voice for restoration of Statehood to J&K. “Statehood is our birth right and we will get it back as soon as possible as the Supreme Court of India has also given direction for the same and Central Government has promised to restore the Statehood,” he said.
Rajan Singh Happy, former President of YRS, also expressed his anguish over increasing crime rate in Jammu and sought to know why all political parties and social organizations were silent at the time when Jammu is burning.
“Even after the abrogation of Article 370, Dogra community continues to suffer as the Central as well as J&K Administration have not changed their discriminatory behaviour with Jammu region since 1947,” he alleged.
Members of YRS once again appealed Jammu people to be united and come forward in active support for the scheduled programme and protest on 10th February. 2025, near the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh adjoining Tawi Bridge.
