2,460 tablets of Tramadol, Tapentadol seized, youth held

RAJOURI, Feb 6: Continuing its efforts against drug trafficking the police apprehended a youth and seized a significant quantity of banned narcotic substances during a naka checking at Khandli bridge.
Official sources said that a police team from Police Station Rajouri led by SHO Abid Hussain Shah during routine vehicle and pedestrian checking, intercepted a motorcycle number JK11G-9980, coming from Mehra side towards Rajouri.
The rider, who was carrying a backpack attempted to flee upon seeing the police team but was swiftly nabbed. During search, the police recovered 24 boxes of Tapentadol, total 2,400 tablets and 6 strips of Tramadol, total 60 tablets.
The accused identified as Asif Ali, son of Nazir Hussain, resident of Parori, Gujjaran tehsil Koteranka was arrested. A case has been registered under FIR No. 67/2025 against him.
