POONCH, Feb 7: The 22nd Senior UT-Level Kabaddi Championship for Men and Women kicked off in Mendhar, marking a significant milestone with teams from across Jammu and Kashmir participating. The event, organized by the Youth Services and Sports Department, is being held at Boys Higher Secondary School, Mendhar.
The championship was inaugurated by SDM Imran Rashid, and this marks the first time that both men’s and women’s teams from various districts of J&K have gathered for such an event in the border town. A total of 22 teams are competing in the tournament, providing a platform for emerging players while promoting sports in the region.
The event has sparked significant enthusiasm among local youth, with hopes that it will inspire more sports activities and engagement in border areas.
