BARAMULLA, Feb 8: The District Baramulla Carrom Championship concluded with great enthusiasm at the Indoor Stadium Khawja Bagh, here today, with around 100 players participating in various categories.
The event, which brought together talented players from across the region, was graced by DySP HQ Baramulla Altaf Ahmad Khan as the chief guest, who distributed medals and certificates to the winners and runners-up. He was joined by Adil Rashid Shah, President of the J&K Carrom Association, Showkat Ahmad, Manager of Indoor Stadium Baramulla and Organizing Secretary Zubeda Ahad.
In the Cadet Category, the winners included Khairun Nisa in first place, Mahira Shafi in second, and Aroobah claiming third place in the girls’ competition. In the boys’ competition, M. Faheem secured first place, followed by M. Reyaan second and M. Yamin third.
In the Sub-Junior Category, Aksa Shakeel claimed the top spot in the girls’ category, while Inaya Javid took second and Qurat finished third. For the boys, Tufail Naseer won first place, Hashim Manzoor second, and Afnan Amin Khan secured third.
The Junior Category saw Hadiya Javid emerge as the first-place winner in the girls’ competition, with Shafiya Zahoor and Toiba Shakeel finishing second and third, respectively. In the boys’ category, M. Hashim claimed first place, followed by Saqib Majeed in second and Haseeb Ayoob securing third place.
In the Senior Category, Ather Rashid won the women’s competition, with Nisha Imtiyaz in second and Samreen in third. Faizan Firdous triumphed in the men’s category, followed by Adnan in second and Iqbal Manzoor in third.
