‘Patanjali brought Yoga, Ayurveda to scientific level’

NEW DELHI, Feb 8: Acharya Balkrishna of Patanjali Yogpeeth while addressing at World Book Fair here today at Pragati Maidan emphasized that such fairs serve as an excellent platform for knowledge exchange. He stated that through these fairs, books on Yoga and Ayurveda are reaching masses, dispelling misconceptions and bringing awareness.
Balkrishna said that Ayurveda is not just a traditional system but a scientifically proven medical practice. “However, due to misinformation, it has been associated with superstitions. The aim of scientific Ayurveda is to offer effective treatment based on facts and research,” he maintained highlighting the significance of publishing scientifically-backed books on Ayurveda to help people understand its benefits in a logical and evidence-based manner.
He also mentioned that through Patanjali, extensive research has been conducted on Ayurveda, which has helped in addressing issues like new diseases, new disorders and nutrition-related concerns.
“Patanjali has published World Herbal Encyclopaedia with pictures of 32000 herbal plants,” Acharya Balkrishna continued.
Regarding Patanjali’s products, he stated that these are made with the highest quality and purity standards.
He emphasized that the goal of Patanjali is not just business but to serve people with authentic and beneficial products.
Acharya Balkrishna further stated that Patanjali is promoting Yoga, Ayurveda, education, medical research and ancient knowledge through its publications.
