JAMMU: The Government on Wednesday reconstituted the Board of Directors (BoDs) of the J&K Road Transport Corporation (RTC).
“As per a recent order issued in supersession of all previous orders, sanction is hereby accorded to the re-constitution of Board of Directors of J&K Road Transport Corporation,” reads an order issued by General Administration Department (GAD).
As per the order, Minister Incharge of the Transport Department will be the chairman of the Board of Directors while the Administrative Secretary, Finance Department will be the vice chairman.
Administrative Secretary, Housing & Urban Development Department; Administrative Secretary, Transport Department; Administrative Secretary, Public Works (R&B) Department and Chief Engineer, Mechanical Engineering Department, Kashmir and Tapan Kumar Das, Under Secretary (a representative of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India) will be the directors.
Managing Director, J&K Road Transport Corporation will be the director-cum-member secretary.
