CEC chairs meeting on posts for new district

LEH, Feb 15: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Tashi Gyalson chaired a meeting to discuss posts for new districts.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman, Tsering Angchuk and Executive Councillors, Ghulam Mehdi and Tashi Namgyal Yakzee and they discussed the proposal for the creation of various departmental posts in the newly formed districts of Nubra, Changthang, Sham, Zanskar and Drass.
During meeting, all the officials from the concerned departments provided CEC with a comprehensive briefing on the proposed positions for the district, emphasizing the specific needs of various departments, including handloom, health, agriculture and other sectors.
The CEC reviewed the full range of requirements from each concerned officials, seeking detailed explanations to ensure thorough understanding and alignment with needs of the districts.
Tashi Gyaslon instructed that proposals be made in alignment with the existing blocks to ensure systematic allocation of resources and urged the representatives to revisit the proposals to ensure they align with the actual requirements for the district.
He also instructed all the representatives to submit the original staffing requirements to the council committee for further consideration.
The meeting was attended by Director ULB/Hospitality & Protocol, Director Industries & Commerce, Director Health Services, Chief Engineer PWD/R&B, Chief Engineer PDD, District Superintending Engineer PWD, Chief Planning Officer, Internal Audit Officer, District Superintending Engineer Hydraulics, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Education Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Chief Medical Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, Deputy Secretary Cultural Academy, Assistant Director Tourism, ARTO Leh, Executive Engineer Leh Development Authority, Block Development Officer, District Treasury Officer, Deputy Director Command Area, Assistant Controller Legal Metrology, Librarian, and Representatives of Information, Handloom and Handicraft.
