JAMMU, Feb 18: Sunil Dimple president Mission Statehood demanded a complete ban the sale of liquor, wine in Jammu Kashmir, particularly in Jammu and Katra.
In this regard a protest rally was also taken out under the leadership of Sunil Dimple.
Addressing to the protestors, Dimple demanded the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and all MLAs to bring a bill of their parties to ban the sale of wine liquor in the Jammu city of temples and Katra.
He warned that the Mission Statehood will expose those political parties and MLAs, who will oppose the liquor ban bill in the Assembly.
Dimple demanded the CM Omar Abdullah to direct the Excise Department not to call the wine shops tenders bidders in this march 2025 and to stop the sale of wine and ban the wine shops and sale of liquor wine in the Jammu and Kashmir.
He said, “Instead of liquor shops, the CM should provide free 200 units electricity, where smart meters have been installed, give 12 free LPG gas cylinders and double ration from this March to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.”
Dev Raj, Vipan, Vicky, Rakesh Sharma, Sanjay Sethi, Amit Raina, Kala Kumar, Bramu Sharma, Sunil, Akbar khan, Mohd Shafi and Nazier Ahmad were also present during the protest.
