LEH, Feb 20: The 45-day winter camp at Maan village concluded, offering a transformative educational experience for local students. Organized by Royal Enfield and SLC, with support from Councillor Konchok Stanzin and executed by Youth Accord Maan Pangong, the camp ran from January 5th to February 18th and aimed at providing holistic development beyond traditional classroom learning.
The camp featured a diverse curriculum designed to foster creativity, teamwork and personal growth. Students participated in activities such as singing, dancing, ice hockey training, team-building exercises, and personality development workshops. Field visits and border tours deepened their understanding of Ladakh’s cultural and strategic significance, while cultural activities promoted the preservation of local traditions.
Councillor Konchok Stanzin praised the initiative for empowering the youth of the region. The camp’s success highlights the potential of alternative learning models, with plans to expand such initiatives in the future to continue supporting holistic education in Ladakh.
