JAMMU, Feb 20: Central Bureau of Investigation/ Anticorruption Bureau has booked Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) in Disproportionate Assets case.

According to the CBI, an information was received from reliable source that Adil Mushtaq, son of Sheikh Mushtaq Ahmad had joined as Deputy Superintendent of Police on 25th August, 2015 and during the period of his service from 25.08.2015 to 19.09.2023, he has amassed huge assets, in his name as well as in the name of his wife Syed Aruj Sadat, which are disproportionate to their known sources of income.
During the check period——from 25.08.2015 to 19.09.2023, Adil Mushtaq has enriched himself by amassing movable and immovable assets, disproportionate to his known sources of income which was to the tune of Rs 4510356, the CBI said.
As such case under Section 5(1)(e) read with 5(2) of Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against him.
