Kawa College hosts lecture

JAMMU, Feb 20: Kawa College of Education, Patoli Gurha Brahmana, organized a one-day extension lecture to promote effective teaching methodologies. The session focused on the Constructivist Approach and was delivered by Dr. Meenakshi Choudhary, Assistant Professor in the Education Department at the University of Jammu.
The lecture began with a welcome address by Dr. Bharti Sharma, followed by Dr. Choudhary’s insightful session on the principles of the Constructivist Approach. She elaborated on the 5 E’s Model, emphasizing the importance of learner-centered pedagogy, active engagement and experiential learning. Dr. Choudhary explained how the constructivist methodology encourages students to actively construct knowledge through real-life experiences, fostering critical thinking and collaboration.
The interactive session was attended by faculty members, students and aspiring educators who engaged in thought-provoking discussions. The event highlighted the relevance of constructivist principles in modern education and their increasing integration into teaching strategies.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Arti Sharma, Senior Lecturer, acknowledging the contributions of all participants.
