Shiksha Niketan School celebrates 32nd Foundation Day

JAMMU, Feb 20: Shiksha Niketan School, Jeevan Nagar, celebrated its 32nd Foundation Day and Grandparents Day with grandeur, reflecting the school’s journey, achievements and unwavering commitment to education.
The chief guest for the occasion was Er. Gulam Ali Khatana (MP Rajya Sabha), while other special guests included Pradip Chand Sharma (Commandant SHQ BSF, Jammu), Balpreet Kour, Dr. Seema Sharma and Ankit Gupta.
The celebration began with the welcoming of grandparents, followed by a lamp-lighting ceremony led by Principal Rameshwar Mengi, Trustee Rita Mengi, Director Risheek Mengi, Headmaster Harish Sharma and other dignitaries.
The event featured a range of performances, beginning with a “Maha Kumbh” Vandana by the Primary Wing. Students also presented a dramatic enactment of Mahabharata scenes, focusing on gender equality with the message, “Strong Women, Strong World.” Grandparents participated actively in fun games, adding to the joy of the day.
Awards were presented to 44 students for securing first position, 56 for second place and 55 for third, along with recognition for 24 students who maintained perfect attendance.
Er. Gulam Ali Khatana praised grandparents for their vital role in shaping young minds and imparting moral values, saying, “Grandparents are the pillars of our families, passing down wisdom and nurturing generations.”
Dr. Seema Sharma also praised the school’s holistic educational approach, noting, “The combined efforts of the school management and teachers ensure the all-round development of students.”
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Principal Rameshwar Mengi, who honoured the legacy of the late founder Principal, Dev Dutt Mengi, whose dedication set the foundation for the school’s success.
