UDHAMPUR, Feb 22: With the arrest of accused, Police claimed to have solved a temple theft case and recovered all the stolen items.
One Naath (Gold), two Tikka (Gold), two Chatter (silver) were stolen from Durga Mata Temple situated at Ward Number 5, Ramnagar. In this regard, case FIR Number 22/2025 under relevant section of law was registered in Police Station Ramnagar.
Taking cognizance of the matter, the special police team, led by SHO Ramnagar was formulated to solve the theft case and nab the culprits. During the investigation, several suspects were rounded up and put through sustained questioning. One suspect, namely Rohit Puri, son of Rajender Prakash, resident of Ward No. 1 Ramnagar, confessed his involvement in the said case and was consequently arrested by the Police team.
On the confession of the accused person, stolen property was also recovered by the police team. Further investigation into the matter is in progress.
