JAMMU, Feb 23: Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone, Bhim Sen Tuti, accompanied by DIG JSK Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma, today visited Sub Division Akhnoor to assess the security grid in the area.
During his visit, the IGP interacted with officers and jawans, reviewed functioning of CCTN, and implementation of New Criminal Laws besides checking the border management grid along the International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC).
He was briefed about the crime and security scenario in the area by SP Rural, SDPO Akhnoor and SHO Akhnoor.
The IGP Jammu directed the officers and jawans to remain extra vigilant and activate all police infrastructure in their AOR.
He also directed them to alert the VDGs, QRTs, Border Police Posts besides ensuring coordination with BSF and Army to foil all the nefarious designs of the terrorists.
The IGP Jammu Zone also had a detailed meeting with the GOC 10 Division in Akhnoor.
